Portable Power For Camping

There are currently two ways to go when it comes to generating your own electricity while you are off the main power grid, solar or portable generator.

Go to portable solar panels for camping.

Go to portable camping generators.

Each has it's pros and cons and you should weigh these up before deciding on a portable portable camping generator that is right for you.

The biggest deciding factor on what you ultimately get will be your power requirements.

Just make sure you find out the starting current your larger appliances need. Starting current is the sudden surge your appliance draws to get going and most appliances that have a motor will need up to 3 times their normal current requirements as their starting power requirements.

If you have low power requirements and camp mostly in the warmer months then portable solar panels for camping might be your best bet. If you have all the mod cons such as fridges, freezers, microwave ovens etc., then you will probably need to look at getting portable camping generators that run on gasoline or propane.
