Keep Your Food on the Plate With a Camping Table

Do you dread having to balance your food on your knees every time you sit down for a meal on your camping trips. Slicing up your food is tricky at best in this precarious position. It's a dead set certainty that a lot of your food will probably find it's way to the ground. Your camping comfort can be increased tremendously simply by making sure you pack a folding camping table. It's a good idea to take one even if you know there are tables at the park you are going to. You have to get up pretty early to get a table at some of the more popular areas.

There are some models of table that have the seats attached which fold out when you unfold the table. If you're a larger build you may find these to be a tight fit but they are perfect for children. Cheaper, poorer quality units can have a tendency to collapse at the most inconvenient of times.

Give the material your table is manufactured from more than a passing thought. Aluminum is a good choice for several reasons. It's strong so you should have your table for many years and it's also very easy to keep clean. You may also find yourself needing to cook on your table. A lot of the time you will find yourself waiting for opening for a barbecue but with a gas camping stove you're covered. An aluminum table is perfect as it won't melt, burn or mark from heat.

One particular table that has a unique method of transportation is the roll up camping table. With a heat resistant surface you will have no problem cooking on it and when you're done you can roll it up, put it in its bag and sling it over your shoulder. It's also strong enough to support up to 175 pounds which is a lot of weight for a little table. You will need to provide seats for this particular model however.

Another excellent design of portable table is the rectangular table with bench seats. This can seat up to six kids or four adults. The bench seats snap into the table when folded but are completely separate so you can move them to wherever you wish. Everything folds up nice and flat and fits into a sturdy carry case. Again, an aluminum top makes it an excellent cooking surface.

You can always find uses for these neat little tables around the home as well. They aren't expensive so you can keep a couple in storage and bring them out when guests come over. For years of service make sure you get a good quality model.
